What are chocolate nibbles? It's a great question as, as far as know, our process is unique to Captain Chocolate.
Pretty much all "panned" products start with a "centre" ("center" if you're in the USA) such as coffee beans, freeze dried strawberries & the like.
Chocolate Nibbles are different. We start by making centres, not of coffee beans and the like - but of chocolate! We actually make tiny balls of chocolate & then layer chocolate onto them untle we have "Chocolate Nibbles".
The added layer is impregnated with real, natural products such as Pyramid Sea Salt (for our Salted Caramel Chocolate Nibbles, Lemon Mytle Chocolate Nibbles, Toasted Coconut Chocolate Nibbles with a LOT more coming).
Another reason we make Chocolate Nibbles is to simplify the taste you get so you can focus on the beautiful flavours. We could not create a centre of salt or Lemon Myrtle so it would have to be mixed with other flavours (like coffee beans). Of course a centre of salt would be awful! But when we create it with a chocolate centre it is amazing!
Finally, some products (such as ginger) are very seasonal & also sometimes don't pan well. For example when we make Ginger Chocolate Nibbles we can vary the amount of Buderim ginger per Kg of chocolate used to get a perfect consistent result.
We do add natural flavouring when required too to bring the flavour out - so YOU get a lovely, consistent product every batch!
